Build a fortress in your life. Our work is founded on the principle that Jesus lives inside those who follow Him, and talks directly with them. Jesus is our fortress inside.

Jesus answers my wife all the time. Before I met my wife I knew how to pray, but not like her! It is also true, that I don’t know anyone who Jesus answers more than Ileana. I asked her why the Lord answers her so much, and she replied, “First, I ask Jesus to show me what to pray, and what to ask for, and when it’s His plan He always answers!” Ask Jesus what to pray.

My desire is to empower you to talk with Jesus more effectively, and encourage you to follow Jesus whole heartedly.

Praying in the moment is so powerful. Most of the time opportunities come only once. On the day I met my husband for the first time, he had just started taking medication for a stomach issue. Even his medication was upsetting his stomach. I asked the Lord what to do, and prayed boldly for him to feel better. Bob had never been prayed for like that in the moment in public. He grew up in a church culture where people said, “I will pray for you,” but it meant they would pray in private later. Life always gets busy and the time speeds away and even good intentions end up delaying what is needed in the moment. Pray always. Pray in the moment.

The first two goals my dad received from Jesus for my parent’s first year of marriage was to pray together and ask for forgiveness each day. In our family it has been normal to forgive all the time.

Forgive the way Jesus forgives. If I ever ask Jesus in prayer to forgive me, His answer will always be yes! He forgives all my sin, even the mistakes I will make in the future. My goal is to forgive others in the same way Jesus forgives me. Forgive the way Jesus forgives.

Dad would walk into the kitchen in the morning and ask Jesus, “Am I prayer fasting for someone’s freedom today?” Often times dad wouldn’t even get to his office before finding the person Jesus pointed out.

Prayer fasting is for someone’s freedom. Isaiah 58:6 says this is the fast God choses, to give relief and freedom to those who are carrying burdens. When Jesus calls a fast, then I know someone today will receive at least relief and eventually freedom. Jesus should I fast today for someone?
