Introduction: Jesus puts thoughts into your mind. It’s Jesus’ voice that leads you out. We are looking at the relationship between you and Jesus and how He speaks to you.

John 10:4 "When he puts forth all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice.”

With Jesus life is not boring. Jesus puts His own followers on a path going forward. There are times to sit and play, but He doesn’t let you just sit and play. There are journeys ahead and things to accomplish.

Jesus leads His own followers on the journey forward. He is ahead of you because He can see the future and knows where He wants to take you. He is already preparing the way for you. Where He goes you are suppose to go.

His followers can see what’s ahead on the path. What’s ahead on the path is the future. Not all of the future is clear. You can’t see around a bend or corner, but you shouldn’t worry because Jesus knows what is around each corner, and He is on the path ahead of you leading the way.

His followers know His voice. Jesus lives inside you and puts thoughts into your mind. It’s Jesus’ voice that leads you out. His voice speaks thoughts into your mind. Sometimes He speaks audibly. His voice is trustworthy and always true. He won’t deceive you. You have a record from witnesses of what He has said in the past, and you can test the thoughts you hear with the Bible.

Prayer coaching: “Jesus, put (me) on an exciting journey with You leading me. Life is boring without You and me going on journeys to accomplish things together. Keep (me) focused on your thoughts and words. Direct (me) into the future and give me a straight path so I can see the road ahead and know where I am going.”
