The day of rest is a delight if Jesus is participating in it with you.

Isaiah 58:13. "If because of the sabbath, you turn your foot from doing your own pleasure on My holy day, And call the sabbath a delight, the holy day of the LORD honorable, And honor it, desisting from your own ways, From seeking your own pleasure And speaking your own word.”

A reward is given, if on your day of rest, you fast from doing your own thing.

So, ask Jesus, what He would like you to do with Him on your day of rest. If you just do what you want to do, then the reward from Jesus is missed.

The day of rest is a delight if Jesus is participating in it with you.

The sabbath is honored if you actually seek to do something with Jesus. You honor it when you talk with God, and when you listen to what Jesus has to say.
