Matthew 6:24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
Colossians 2:8-10 “See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. For in (Jesus) all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in (Jesus) you have been made complete, and (Jesus) is the head over all rule and authority;”
Be taken captive by Jesus. Evaluate philosophy and traditions and the principles of this world according to Jesus. Why is Jesus’ view about philosophy and traditions and principles of the world better than anyone else’s viewpoint?
In Jesus all the fullness of God dwells in bodily form. Jesus is God. He knows everything and made everything.
In Jesus you have been made complete. Nothing and no one else completes you.
Jesus is the head over all rule and authority. Boundaries are set by Jesus. There are no ideas that can escape His boundaries.
