verse 28

Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Here is Jesus’ offer. If you come to Jesus, He will give you rest.

What type of rest is He talking about? There is physical and mental rest, but Jesus is also talking about spiritual rest. Spiritual rest is missing if you are separated from God because of evil.

Only God can give you spiritual rest.  Jesus is once again declaring that He is God when He says, that He can give you spiritual rest. If you hate God, then this is a problem. Your spirit can only rest if you are in a personal relationship with Jesus.
