We are talking about how to intercede for someone on a difficult assignment from God as they confront misled people around them.

John 12:34-35 “The crowd then answered Him, ‘We have heard out of the Law that the Christ is to remain forever; and how can You say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up'? Who is this Son of Man?’ So Jesus said to them, ‘For a little while longer the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.’ ”

For those you defend, pray they respond with wisdom to the confusion. While on assignment the world will challenge them to explain themselves. The crowd didn’t hear the voice of God and guessed incorrectly that it was just thunder or an angel. The meaning of the words were already lost. Their theology about God blinded them from hearing the words of the voice of God and the words of Jesus. What was the main wall that blinded their ability to see? They said that the Messiah is to remain and rule forever, so He can’t be put to death. They thought Jesus’ kingdom was a physical one, but it was always about eternal life in His spiritual kingdom.

Jesus’ message to those who were confused. Walk with Jesus so that darkness will not overtake you. If you walk in the darkness you won’t know where you are going.

Prayer coaching: “Jesus, speak wisdom through (them) to confront the confusion in the people’s minds. May (they) walk in the Light and lead others into the light. Jesus, lead them where (they) are to go and may (they) lead others out of darkness.
