We are talking about how God’s plan was for man not to rule over woman.

Genesis 1:28 God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

Multiply and fill the earth with humans. Rule over the animals in water, sky and ground. God told them to have children. He told them to rule over the living animals in the sea and air and on the ground, but God did not tell them to rule over humans.

Genesis 3:16 “To the woman He said, ‘I will greatly multiply Your pain in childbirth, In pain you will bring forth children; Yet your desire will be for your husband, And he will rule over you.’ ”

Prior to the “curse” being declared, man didn’t rule over the woman. After Adam and Eve disobeyed, God declared over Eve that men would rule over women. It is a curse that men rule over women. God’s original intent was for men and women to not rule over one another as they submitted to Him.
