Romans 12:16-18 “Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation. Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.”

Don’t be haughty. Associate with the lowly. Why would anyone listen to you, if you are above them in your attitude and don’t associate with them.

Don’t think of yourself as wise or wiser than others. We wear pride like a piece of clothing. It is so obvious to everyone.

Don’t pay back evil for evil to anyone. The one who takes revenge is just as bad as the one who started the fight in the first place.

Provide what is right when people are looking at you. If you know what is right for a situation, and don’t share it, you are ignoring what is right. Don’t hold back what is helpful for others when they are looking for answers. Their eyes are on you. Will you respect what is right and help those who might be looking for answers?

Choose to be at peace with everyone. You are only responsible to decide for yourself. Just because you choose peace, doesn’t mean the other person will make the same choice. Real peace can only come if Jesus is living inside you as Master of your life. Jesus helps you be at peace with God and with everyone, including those who hate you.

Prayer coaching: “Jesus help me be able to associate with anyone. Change my thinking of myself. Remove any pride in my thinking. Help me to never take revenge or encourage others to take revenge. Jesus help me be able to share what is right when people are looking at me. Help me to be at peace with everyone, even those who hate me.”
