We are talking about how we like to seek God but also forsake God at the same time. First God reveals the truth of our condition and then begins to set us free.

Isaiah 58:2 "Yet they seek Me day by day and delight to know My ways, As a nation that has done righteousness And has not forsaken the ordinance of their God. They ask Me for just decisions, They delight in the nearness of God.”
You look for God daily. You look for God, and you also like what’s in the dark. You already know how to find God, and yet you keep looking. You’re afraid. Go to God directly and ask Him to free you from the dark.
You delight in the knowledge about God. You increase your knowledge about God, and still do bad deeds. Will more knowledge set you free from your bad deeds? No. You continue to stay at a distance from God. Go to God directly and ask Him to free you from the dark.
You want to be seen doing good deeds. You do good deeds, and you do bad deeds. Will your good deeds set you free from the bad deeds? No. You continue to stay at a distance from God. Go to God directly and ask Him to free you from the dark.
You delight in following the rules. You follow the rules, but you’ve modified them so you can stay at a distance from God. You modify the rules to keep doing bad deeds. You continue to stay at a distance from God. Go to God directly and ask Him to free you from the dark.
You ask God to be just. You ask God for justice, even though you are unjust when you do bad deeds. You modify justice to keep doing bad deeds. You continue to stay at a distance from God. Go to God directly and ask Him to free you from the dark.
You delight that God is close by. You keep God just close enough to feel good, but you still do bad deeds. You continue to stay at a distance from God. Go to God directly and ask Him to free you from the dark.
Prayer coaching: “Jesus, Help (me) be close to You, know You personally, do good deeds, follow the rules, and set me free from my sin. Jesus, bring justice, and help (me) be just in my actions. Be near (me) and reveal Yourself to me, and set me free from my sin.”
