verse 26

John 16:26 "In that day you will ask in My name,  and I do not say to you that I will request of the Father on your behalf;”

You have direct access, when you pray to God the Father. Jesus was saying that, “in His Name” didn't mean Jesus would do it for you.

You are representing yourself in front of God the Father when you pray to Him.  Jesus doesn’t have to do it for you.  This is really important, and so much so, that Jesus spoke plainly and clearly that, you have direct access in prayer to God the Father.
