verse 6

James 4:6  “But He gives a greater grace.  Therefore, it says, ‘God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.’ ”

God is against pride because it’s the veil that blinds your mind.  Humble yourself and He won’t punish you the way you deserve.

He knows grace is needed in order to protect you from returning to your pride.

Humility brings your defenses down, in order to hear Jesus speak to you in your thoughts.  The humble can hear the thoughts that are from God.   

Don’t accept the thoughts that say you can’t trust Jesus to lead you.  Stay close to Him and follow Him in humility, and Jesus will confirm the thoughts that are from Him.
