Ephesians 5
Take care of your wife, like you take care of yourself.
Ephesians 5:29-30a. “for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church.”
You feed yourself when you are hungry, and take care of yourself even when life is tough. Take care of your wife, like you take care of yourself.
You are to be like Jesus, and you are to feed her. You are to talk about Jesus, and encourage her with the truth. You are to give her spiritual food.
Can’t she just go to Jesus herself? Can’t she just go to church and be feed spiritually there?
Be like Jesus, and give your wife spiritual encouragement.
