Isaiah 58:7a "Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry…”
Well, the burden is lifted and the strength of sin is broken. But, what about hunger? When freedom from the weight of sin comes, what follows is a hunger for more of Jesus.
This is also the prayer fast God chooses, that you share with them more of Jesus. He is the bread of life. The goal of God is to set others free from spiritual hunger forever.
He doesn’t want them to go right back to evil, for lack of spiritual food. And, it’s also true that you should share actual food if they have need.
