John 5:9-10  Immediately the man became well, and picked up his pallet and began to walk.  Now it was the Sabbath on that day.  So the Jews were saying to the man who was cured,  “It is the Sabbath, and it is not permissible for you to carry your pallet.“

It was instantaneous. The words demanded movement. Immediately the walking proved that he was healed. Did he jump for joy? We don’t know.

Was he noticed? Was he recognized by those who had seen him for 38 years waiting for his miracle? He probably looked so different. No one would have expected to see him walking.

Well, he did get noticed, because the religious leaders were everywhere that day because of the feast, and he was breaking their law for walking with his mat in his hands.
