John 5:15-16 The man went away, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well. For this reason the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath.
He was freed from 38 years of suffering, and turned to follow God. It was Jesus who did it, and the man wanted the authorities to know that Jesus deserves the credit. The rumors aren’t true! Jesus is amazing! God the Father proved it when Jesus healed the crippled man.
The man was satisfied with Jesus. Jesus was amazing, but the authorities were not satisfied. The healing and telling the man to carry his mat were supposedly unlawful on the sabbath. The religious authorities that very day confronted Jesus for working on the sabbath.
