John 5:31-32 "If I alone testify about Myself, My testimony is not true. There is another who testifies of Me, and I know that the testimony which He gives about Me is true.”
I think we all have at one time or another wanted more evidence to defend what Jesus said.
Well, God gave the law to Moses, and required that there be testimony by more than just one person. Jesus is the first to testify about Himself. He just testified, and declared that He is God.
Then, Jesus declared that He is not the only one who testifies. God the Father also testifies that Jesus is God. If you go to God the Father, He will also defend Jesus. Jesus isn’t worried about what God the Father will say. He knows already that what God the Father says about Him is true.
