John 5:11-12  But he answered them, “He who made me well was the one who said to me, Pick up your pallet and walk.”  They asked him,  “Who is the man who said to you, Pick up your pallet and walk?“

The man believed that the one who made him well deserved respect even from the religious authorities.  Isn’t it true that, only great prophets and people who are heard by God can heal this way? The man recognized true authority, and the one who healed him with a phrase has true authority.

He’s the one the authorities should talk to but, guess what? The man was so intent on obeying the command to walk he never found out who it was that healed him.

It’s important to note that the religious leader’s didn’t want to celebrate the miracle with the man, and didn’t want to give God glory for what He did. So who could the man celebrate with?  It probably didn’t matter to him at all. He was healed.
