John 5:23 “so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.”
God the Father, and, Jesus, are to be honored equally. After your body dies, you’ll stand before God the Father and Jesus in the throne room in heaven, and Jesus will be the one who judges you. Jesus is God and the judge over all things, and He, deserves to be honored equally with God the Father.
I have heard many say that they love God, but don’t believe Jesus. Sadly, if you think you can escape Jesus, and believe your own version of God, you’ll still end up in front of Jesus in the throne room in heaven. You’ll bow and declare Him to be God, and tremble as you wait for His judgment.
